A former nutrition teacher at St. Charles High School, Maryland, is accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old male student. LaToya Nicole Parker, 40, used “brazen” actions to lure the student. She wrote “love notes to him”, that gradually went from being innocent to requesting sex, periodically removed the boy from the classroom and treated him to meals at restaurants. Parker showed the student some of her naked photos, including those where she performed a sex act. Moreover, she offered to pay the boy in return for a sex act, according to deputies.
LaToya Nicole Parker faces charges on three counts, namely sexual abuse of a minor, sexual solicitation of a minor, and displaying obscene material to a minor. In the course of an investigation, it was revealed that Parker had made sexual advances to the teen boy from January until May of this year. The investigators got on Parker’s track because the victim had shared the information with some of the students who told the adults.
Maryland State Police confiscated Parker’s electronic devices where they found 50 photos and one video that matched the boy’s accusations, according to official reports.
Parker is no longer teaching family and consumer science at school. She was assigned to an administrative building, after the police started the investigation on her.
