A 11-year-old boy from Arkansas was accused of trying to rob a 68-year-old woman at an ATM, as reported by the victim to the police. In the course of investigation, it became clear that the boy had used a toy gun to accomplish his aim. Currently, the 11-year-old faces a charge of aggravated robbery in juvenile court, as reported by police.
The alleged attempt of robbery took place this weekend near 3500 S University Avenue in Arkansas. According to the victim, she had paid a visit to a bank in Little Rock prior to the incident. After finishing her business at the bank, she was trying to get into her car, and it was then when the boy hit her in the face with a plastic gun. She went on with the details saying that she was so confused that instead of locking the door of the car, she opened the window.
Following the attack, the 11-year-old fled in the direction of the bank together with 3 other boys and was soon found by the police in the surroundings of an apartment complex. The weapon was also discovered at the scene and was later identified as a toy.
As for the three boys, they didn’t receive any charges and were released into their parents’ custody.
