A body of a 72-year-old man was found in a home closet in Florida. The Florida man, Alfred Wozniak, was shot in the left temple by his 65-year-old wife in Shalimar, in the Florida Panhandle. On Friday, Barbara Wozniak was charged with murder, Okaloosa deputies say.
Investigators searched the home and uncovered a fabricated brick wall in the house. The wall was found inside a closet under a stairway. Okaloosa Sheriff’s office reported that when the bricks and drywall were removed, a plastic tarp was discovered which had the shape of a body of a grown-up. As for the material, it was completely duct-taped.
As the investigations revealed, Barbara Wozniak had told her adult children that she had shot their father earlier that month. She informed them that the reason for the murder was self-defense since Alfred has tried to choke her. One of the children called the police.
An official autopsy was performed on the body, which confirmed the identity of the victim as Alfred Wozniak. The records state that Wozniak was shot from his left temple and that the trajectory of the bullet does not align with Barbara’s self-defense story.
On the day of the murder, November 10, Wozniaks’ debit card was charged around $130 for a large tarp, plastic sheet, tape, repair mortar, and similar supplies. Based on the surveillance camera footage, the description of the buyer matches that of Barbara Wozniak, who has not entered a plea yet.
