Usually, the abusers find their actions acceptable and normal. However, it is considered domestic abuse and is punishable by law, regardless of the abuser’s perception of his or her actions. Along with the physical abuse, domestic violence has other forms like verbal, emotional, economic, religious, and more. The overwhelming majority of the victims of this crime are women. Interestingly, domestic violence is legal in some countries, where it is justified in cases like women’s infidelity.
As a matter of fact, domestic violence remains one of the least reported crimes throughout the world.
