Mother of 3-year-old Sherin who died choking on milk is arrested

Sini Mathews, the Texas adoptive mother of Sherin, 3-year-old girl who had died by being choked on milk by Sini’s husband, was arrested on Thursday.


The couple had adopted Sherin from India but failed to display patience while raising her. Based on the information provided by the adoptive father, Wesley Matthews on October 7, Sherin refused to drink her milk, which is why she was sent outside for discipline. His story goes on telling that when he went out to retrieve her at 3:00 am, the girl was nowhere to be found.

Couple locks little girl in storage box for stealing popsicles

A Phoenix couple, John Michael Allen, 29, and Sammantha Allen, 28, were convicted of murder of the 10-year-old Ame Deal, who died after being locked in a storage box on a hot summer day in 2011. The couple punished the little girl by forcing her into a tiny box for stealing ice pops. They left the child in the box and slept the whole night. In the morning, Ame was found breathless in the plastic box, according to investigation. The girl was shockingly abused several times until her death by the relatives who were taking care of her. The girl was forced to eat dog feces, crush aluminum cans barefoot, eat hot food, remain in the storage box for other punishments. They also kicked her in the face while she was on the ground, beat her inhumanly and threw in a cold swimming pool, according to authorities.

Woman kills her two children after visit from Deputies

Two sisters, ages seven and five, were found dead in their North Payne Texas home. Their mother, 29 year-old Sarah Henderson is a suspect in the deaths of KayLee and Kenlie Henderson, who had both been shot to death in their sleep. Henderson had been visited by two Sherriff’s deputies only about three hours earlier, 11:30 PM Wednesday evening.  Her husband Jake Henderson had called 911 as he was concerned his wife was suicidal. Two Henderson county deputies came to the house, and spoke with Mrs. Henderson, who indicated she was not suicidal. The deputies left, and at about 2:30 AM, Thursday morning, Mrs. Henderson allegedly shot both of her children. She then attempted to shoot her husband, but the gun malfunctioned. Mr. Henderson to k the gun from his wife, and called 911 to report the shooting, as his wife tried to choke herself and take the gun back from her husband. She was heard saying “shoot me” to her husband. She was arrested and is on suicide watch at the Henderson county jail. Mrs. Henderson had apparently planned this at least two weeks ago.

Execution date set for man convicted of killing family for 1 million dollars

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice reported the execution date of an adult male, who arranged the murder of his family for $1 million inheritance. According to official records, Thomas Whitaker, a 37-year-old man from Sugar Land, was convicted of a murder-for-hire scheme and will enter the Huntsville death chamber on February 22, 2019. In fact, the decision was made after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected his appeal.

Seven children found living in filth and decay

A Lexington, North Carolina couple was arrested when they and their seven children were found living in appalling filth. Michael Patrick McKnight, age 24, and Jamie Leigh Hiatt, age 25, were charged with felony Neglect-Child Abuse involving serious injury, and six misdemeanor counts of child abuse. Lexington police officers went to the home to do a welfare check, and found malnourished children ages one through six, in a home filled with urine and feces from both animals and people. One child had maggots in her diaper. The welfare check was precipitated by the children’s grandmother receiving images of her grandchildren, and becoming alarmed at their appearance. McKnight and Hiatt are being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Family dispute ends with woman pouring boiling water at victim

A 43-year-old woman from Waverly, N.Y., Nichole Brown, is under arrest for assaulting a man with boiling water in a village home. The incident happened during a family dispute. As a result of the domestic violence, an adult man was seriously injured after Nichole Brown poured boiling water on his back. Moreover, she is also accused of attempting to stab the victim, as well as herself, with a knife. Both of them were taken to hospital to receive medical care, Waverly police say.

Indiana couple charged with locking their daughter in a cage

A husband and wife, 36 year old Aimee Friz, and 57 year old Alan Friz of Huntingburg Indiana have been arrested on 46 felony charges, including multiple charges of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, Neglect, and Criminal confinement. It is alleged that they kept their daughter, age unreported, in a closet that had been converted into a locking cage. It is further alleged that the daughter had been left in the cage without food and water, and sexually molested by Alan Friz, who is a Huntingburg dentist. Both were released on bail. The daughter and other children in the home have been removed.
