Heather Locklear’s boyfriend, Chris Heisser, was stopped by California State Highway Patrol and then arrested on a driving under the influence charge in Thousands Oaks, California on Monday morning.
Heisser, 56, is a contractor and former AMA motocross racer. At around 12 a.m. highway patrol officers noticed a Mercedes sedan traveling at a very slow speed on southbound US 101. The officers stopped the car to check the wellness of the driver who was identified as Heisser and smelled of alcohol. Heisser was asked to take standardized field sobriety test and provide two breath samples through the alcohol screening device. The test resulted in revealing .19 blood alcohol content.
He will appear in court on April 26. It is still unclear if Heisser has a lawyer to represent himself.
The arrest occurred few hours after Locklear was arrested on Sunday night. The Melrose Place star allegedly battered her boyfriend at their residence, and when police arrived, she became uncontrollable and battered three more police deputies. Locklear is charged with one count felony domestic violence and three counts misdemeanor battery on police officers.
Locklear recently reconnected with Heisser who she was dating in high school. Before Heisser, she was married to Tommy Lee from 1986-1993 and Richie Sambora from 1994 -2007.
Locklear was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being taken behind the bars. She posted $20,000 bail and was released. Her next court hearing is scheduled on March in Ventura, California.
